Ella Telfer

People & Capability Specialist

Ella is a seasoned HR professional with over a decade of experience in the area. Holding a Bachelor of Health Science with a double major in Psychology and Public Health from UWA, Ella brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to human resource management.

Ella began her career as a recruiter, specialising in volume recruitment for shutdowns in the Pilbara region. This role honed her skills in managing high-pressure recruitment processes and delivering efficient staffing solutions for large-scale projects under tight deadlines.

Following this, Ella spent 8 years at Jackson McDonald, Western Australia’s leading independent law firm, in an HR generalist role. Ella worked closely with the business to understand and address their HR needs to develop tailored HR solutions. Her role involved everything from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, compliance and coaching.

Ella has a keen interest in the interplay between human behaviour, well-being and workplace dynamics. She believes that building strong and trusted relationships at all business levels is instrumental in fostering a collaborative work environment.
